Your boat. Your crew. Your story.

The Real Catch is a planned Salty DNA YouTube series of approximately 30-minute stories about real life on the water. Our goal is at least 12 original episodes over the coming year.

Who we’re looking for: Commercial fishing captains and crews, recreational anglers, and aquaculture teams. From seasoned skippers to new generations: we want stories, characters, and a genuine connection to the water.
Where we’re heading: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
First planned filming: The winter lobster fishery in the Bay of Fundy or Southwest Nova Scotia. Further fisheries and locations will follow, subject to scheduling and safe filming conditions.

Applying does not guarantee selection. We will contact shortlisted applicants to discuss filming dates, permissions, and safety.
